Who we are:
The Study Religion Directory is a project of Theta Alpha Kappa, the American Academy of Religion, and the Society of Biblical Literature.
What we do with this data:
Information collected here will be used to assemble a public-facing directory of departments in religion/religious studies, theology, and biblical studies. Additional information not shared in the public directory will be used for reports created by Theta Alpha Kappa, the American Academy of Religion, and the Society of Biblical Literature about where members work and how the field(s) are changing.
What rights you have over your data:
If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where data is sent:
Departmental information uploaded to this site is shared with the project committee, consisting of members of Theta Alpha Kappa, the American Academy of Religion, and the Society of Biblical Literature. This information will be compiled for reports that will be made available to the memberships of the sponsoring organizations. Personal user information, including names and emails, is not shared.
